How successful I am has yet to be determined. I am humbled and grateful that you've stopped by to take a look around.

So you're wondering; "What's cedricjames.com all about? Quite simply its about culture in a word. Specifically the American songbook and all the wonderful things that surround it. When you examine American culture and you are looking at our history. As a student of history and culture, I've always found it fascinating how much of the roots of our culture impacts what we consider to be artful and expressive. The ability to look back and examine our roots provides insights as to who we were as a nation and who we've become and what we are becoming.

Ultimately my mission is to highlight those aspects of culture that have had the greatest impact on me personally and share them with you. Its my hope that we will discover common threads to begin to have a dialogue, a conversation about the things in life that we savor and enjoy in this life. In essence its about the Jazz Life.
